I was raised at the end of the era when being naked around other men was shameful. What was remarkable was the respect we had for one another's gear. Oh, no doubt "peeking" occurred, but it was frowned on and considered disrespectful. We were comfortable with ourselves and our dicks and scrotes. I don't know what happened that caused this drastic change in attitudes, but it is demeaning and sad, and I look forward to the day it ends.
As you can see, many of the men are intact.. Most Baby Boomer Boys were circ'ed, yet, had intact dad's. Circ'd men know Something is NOT NATURAL and this inner-self-shaming manifests in an unnatural sense of extreme modesty. Look at penis shaming in the three biggest circ cultures USA/Israel/Arab states where male nudity requires screens between urinals. Look at Non circumcising cultures like Europe and Russia where men are openly nude in baths saunas public art. It doesn't take rocket science to realize circ' is no way to treat a future man.
I still resent having to cover my penis and scrotum in all-male saunas/steam rooms. It's bullshit. And I resent coed saunas and steam rooms even more. In my younger days, those were all-male retreats where camraderie was the rule rather than the exception.
