Here's a photo of Vic Seipke by Douglas of Detroit that I recently came across. It fits in with a couple of others from a mega-post of Detroit Firefighter Seipke by Douglas of Detroit posted here last June. I'll try to post a link below for those who want to peruse that again or for the first time.

June 18th, 1886 is the birthday of English mountaineer George Mallory. His disappearance on that mountain in 1924 became one of the most celebrated mysteries of the 20th century. Mallory's body was discovered in 1999, though it is unknown if he reached the summit of Everest before dying. Thanks to tar-mairo1986 for posting these on the ClassicMale subreddit.
All photos taken by Vanessa Bell circa 1912 when Mallory would have been be 26. This is how he was described by Lytton Strachey (George had a relationship with his brother James, but seems Lytton had the hots too!): '' Mon Dieu! George Mallory! My hand trembles, my heart palpitates... he is six feet high, with a body of an athlete like Praxiteles, and the face – oh, incredible – the mystery of Botticelli, the refinement and delicacy of a Chinese print, the youth and piquancy of a young English boy. Edgar Henry Garland (1895 – 4 May 1973) was a New Zealand officer, known for numerous escapes from German prisoners camps during WWI. He was regarded as one of the most cunning and slippery of the British officers by the German War Office. He became famous around the end of the war and got the nickname "The Elusive Garland." Photographs by S. P. Andrew Ltd. of Wellington, 1916. All of these photographs were taken before he left for duty in Europe.

Nude American airman lying on a cot on a rocky ledge near the ocean, Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands, 1945. Photos by Technical Sergeant Lisle George Neher, Dfc, who served as a Central Fire Control Gunner on the Boeing B-29 Superfortress “Hell’s Belle” in the Pacific Theater of Operations. He donated a large collection of photos he took as part of that crew of airmen to the digital collection of the National WWII Museum. The top photo is not shown there, I found it in my collection from I don't remember where on the internet, and it looks like a match.
