I'm surprised to see a Mr. America posing stripped. Weren't they supposed to promote "wholesome American values?". He is a total stunner, though, and it's good to see he was not ashamed of being male.
Keith placed 6th at the 1951 Mr America contest and 6th again at the 1952 Mr California contest. The calibre of those contestants must have been very high for him to only place 6th. Maybe the judges knew he had posed nude and they held that against him. Then again, maybe Mr Stephan wouldn't "put-out" for one of them. There are pictures of some physique contests of the 40s & 50s with some of the judges ogling the bodybuilders. One in particular of a judge literally standing on the judges table, ogling a bodybuilder and ready to pounce. -Rj/IE
