Professional ball, no matter what sport, has always been big business. College ball, especially football, has changed a lot since the start of television coverage. The bigger your school’s athletic conference and market audience size, the more business money your school makes. Small school and small audience, it’s still a sport. Mostly.
I'm from a more recent era but my school issued shorts, shirt, jockstrap... Good old days.
ReplyDeleteWhen there was some semblance of sportsmanship in football, now it’s all big money, big egos and sick fans.

One of my new favorite images on this blog. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome. I like the old time locker room photos myself.
DeleteThese oldtime locker room shots are also my fav's.
DeleteWell, maybe a very, very close 2nd to jockstrap pics in general. LOL
Thx Bob.
Info I have is that this is the locker room of the University of North Dallas, no photographer or date is known.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
