Here's one I found on eBay a while back. Nick Klaus (left) & Gerhard Pruitt, according to Brian in the comments. It's getting harder and harder to find vintage pictures that I haven't posted before. eBay is reigning in nudity, I refuse to go on Xitter, and other sources are frequently showing images they found here!

  2. I know exactly what you mean about finding "new" vintage material. When I do Google Images searches, my own posts often turm up. While gratifying, that doesn't help my problem.

  3. According to one of my reliable sources (and fellow enthusiast) the names of these guys are: Nick Klaus (left) & Gerhard Prutt.

  4. The older you get the more photos fall into the category of 'vintage' though. Is there some disqualifier as to 'nice' or 'naked' or 'guy' within 'nice guys naked' that time fixes?

    1. Obviously I do post modern images too.
Nice means I prefer to post pictures of guys that are smiling, no tattoos if possible, not on steroids, not sullen, and not smoking. I like guys with a personality. I don't like the hippy look or long hair in general. I usually avoid the whole leather and bondage scene, other than maybe some ball grabbin' wrasslin from good old camp AMG.

      Naked speaks for itself.

Guys are people who have penises, made clear by the Naked part. Time doesn't change my view of any of these qualities. Some people consider Colt to be vintage but I don't like the steroid look or mustaches much either, and all the leather and boots. Bruce Weber has a certain type with hairless steroid enhanced physiques which I find boring and oddly neuter.

I also try to stick to recent scans of actual vintage photographs or negatives, which are often more clear than all but the most recent digital images. Sometimes images from magazines are all that are available of certain models.

For years someone or some group had obviously purchased the Athletic Model Guild archives, which did go up for sale as a lot I understand. They used to make incredibly high quality scans of some four inch square prints they sold on eBay and the images were huge and clear, or if a bit dusty and battered I would use software to make them look their best. That's where almost all of the AMG pictures on this blog came from. eBay cracked down on nudity a while back and that account disappeared although some sellers are back with male nudes, many of the images are out of focus or photographed or scanned poorly.

I really adore antique or very old male nude photos, I've even posted tintypes, but those are very hard to find.

Thanks for asking. I have an Amazon Wishlist link in my profile if you enjoy the blog. Nobody has ever used it, if they discovered it. I don't mention it at all, until now.

      Cheers
