Muscle is today's theme, starting with Jules Bacon, 1943 Mr. America, photographed by Al Urban. There is some clumsy retouching of his lower legs here, that was not done by me.
Well done by Urban, very daring full nude for the time. Jules Stanley Bacon (Bacanskas- Lithuanian surname ) 1917-2007 - was also part of the York Barbell group of bodybuilders and promoters. He wrote a column for Health & Strength magazine for 20 years and owned a gym in York, PA. Highly regarded in his day….:)
Why do they do that? It's not like anybody is looking at his legs....
